I still want to plan something in terms of a meetup. I kind of need feedback to make this effective, otherwise I’m just gonna be like, GUESS WHAT Y’ALL, I’M DOING THIS!
I happened to move recently and still don’t have internet in the new place so my ability to be on here like, all the time, has been diminished BUT:
I am still going to be working on this when I can. To start: On the whole ACE front, when would be the best day to try something out? We’ve got the 21st through the 23rd but which day do you all prefer? Should we try to meet up all three days? Meet-up-a-pa-looza? Should someone make a giant sign saying, “HOMESTUCKS UNITE” on it?
Let’s brainstorm!
Short little update on the number of RSVPs that have been received…
I guess I should be proud. So far we have generated twice as much interest as last year.
For those of you keeping score that means I have had TWO people be like, “Meetup? That sounds awesome! Count me in!”
We’ll be aiming for ACE I do believe. That’s far enough in advance that hopefully, HOPEFULLY at least a handful of people will know about this and want to attend.
And please let me know if you want to be a part of this. I do enjoy organizing cool stuff and making things so it would be really nice to do something cool for this meetup. I just want to know how much resources I should put into this.

Okay so honestly neither of us have checked on this thing since like… Forever ago. Probably not since right after the last meet attempt honestly. We’ve been getting a lot of questions regarding if we’re going to do another meet up this year and so far the answer is a resounding, “MAYBE/PROBABLY.”
If we do decide to organize a meet up this year I can honestly say it will be no where near as epic as the one we had last year. Why? Because pretty much NO ONE showed up and it was expensive as all get out. Speaking as the official wallet of that party I can say that we will definitely not go to such lengths this time around.
If we’re going to plan another one it would be nice to know how many people want to show up. Last year’s was a sporadic decision planned very close to the date and we put in a lot of work into it and met one new person. Let me just say our fridge had a ton of left over Tab in it (not necessarily a bad thing). But if we’re gonna try to figure something out for this year it would be nice to know more than one person is going to show up.
SO: I request that you just RSVP. Message us on whether you think you could make it to some sort of meet up, if you could make it on the 13th, if not what day of the week best suits your schedule, etc. If we get enough people who are actually interested/dedicated to going maybe we can throw something cheap and easy together and meet some new Homestuck fans.

Like the cake? I made it for our Homestuck meet-up party that Manisoke and I are throwing tomorrow :D Preparing for this party has been an ordeal of god-like proportions. I plan to log the adventures that we’ve had on this day as the night and preparations continue.
Now that the cake is done I’m knitting an Eridan scarf (a party favor for tomorrow) while waiting for the first two sopor slime pies to set. And once our soda is chilled we can make the other two. My fridge is filled with Faygo and Tab and there are a few boxes of Fruit Gushers lying around waiting for tomorrow. I even have a little spade-shaped tray full of black licorice; just to show what a good and considerate hostess I am. Though this party will no doubt be a success it will not have come without a price; there were many trials and tribulations to bring all of this together. And I can think of no better beginning than trying to find that most essential Homestuck movie: Con Air.
